Rules of Play
- The Committee shall have the power to declare the courts closed as may
be necessary for repairs, matches or otherwise at its discretion.
- Members shall play seven games maximum, if other members are waiting
to play.
- Members shall not play singles if other members are waiting to play,
in such circumstances members playing singles shall be entitled to invite
members to make up a game of doubles.
- When all courts are occupied, members wishing to play will write their
name on a waiting list provided by the club on their arrival.
- When a court becomes available, the member whose name appears at the
top of the waiting list shall make up a set from the first eight names on
the list.
- The name of any member so chosen to play and refusing to do so shall
he crossed off the waiting list.
- Juniors shall have full use of courts, providing senior members are not
waiting to play and shall vacate the courts on request. The exception to
this rule being those juniors deemed eligible to play for senior teams by
the Selection Committee.
- Juniors shall have priority on courts one, two and three between 4pm
and 6pm Monday to Friday.
- Rubber soled shoes without heels shall be worn by all members when playing.
N.B. Rule 8 does not apply when formal Junior Coaching is taking place.
